Here are a few things you need to know before you start creating your cinematic masterpiece!
- Films must be 15 minutes or less (including credits). This is to allow time for all the films to be viewed and fairly evaluated and to allow as many people as possible to participate.
- Movies should be age appropriate, and free of inappopriate language or content. Please consider your audience as you create!
- Credits must list specific roles that match designated award categories in order to be eligible for awards. (see the list of awards below)
- Anyone can may be in a film, but only teens are able to win awards and lead specific jobs on set (i.e. costume design, Director, etc.)
- Finished films must be turned in (on a flash drive) on or before the due date, March 13, 2026.
- Before starting on a film, please coordinate with Savannah Bitterling at [email protected] to make sure you are officially entered in the contest.
- Awards will be presented at the Insignia Gala for the following categories: Best Editing/Special Effects, Best Production Design (including set, props, make up, hair, and costumes), Best Male Actor, Best Female Actress, Best Picture (overall)
- Projects will be judged by non-biased, third party judges, with training in film production.
- Any other questions about the film festival should be sent to [email protected].
